MD/DC Managers & Leadership List Serve

The MDDC Email List Serve is open to Respiratory Care Managers, Educators and RCP's who serve in leadership roles within Maryland and the District of Columbia. The list serves the following functions to connect practitioners:

The list is not open to the public and RCP's requesting to be on the list should be active members of the AARC prior to requesting to be added.

RCEC Site Authorization Program

The RCEC site authorization program establishes a system for the approval and administration of CEU's and CEU programs on an "on-sire" basis. Approved agencies are authorized to award RCEC's (Respiratory Continuing Education Credits) according to the program guidelines and in accordance with the policies adopted by the Maryland/District of Columbia Society for Respiratory Care, Inc.

Legislative Action

The MD/DC Society maintains active involvement in Legislative affairs for both Maryland, and the District of Columbia.  The Society retains a lobbyist for Maryland and works with the respiratory leadership in the District of Columbia to handle legislative issues that may arise.  

Board and Society members attend the annual AARC PACT gathering in Washington, D.C. to help lobby Congressional Representatives on Bills that impact respiratory care and healthcare in general.

Maryland/DC Society Retains the firm of Schwartz, Metz & Wise, P.A., a law firm focusing on the representation of associations and businesses before the Maryland General Assembly, courts and regulatory agencies.
